Contract for sale of land in NSW

The standard form for Contracts for Sale of Land in NSW has been updated, and you can have a look at a summary of the changes here.

Some of the changes are fairly essoteric, some of the changes are more important like changes to the cooling off period length and the necessary disclosure in the statement in the Contract for Sale.  There are also a number of changes around mandatory disclosure to do with GST.

It is important to ensure that your Contract for Sale is up to date, because an incomplete Contract for Sale in NSW does not indeed bind the purchaser to purchase the land.  These changes may seem fairly pedestrian but only a properly trained property professional can tell you whether or not your contract is complete, these issues definitely are not something you can Google and figure out for yourself.

If you want to know if your Contract for Sale is indeed accurate and complete then call Teresa Sharpe our Licensed Conveyancer and Justice of the Peace on 0420 979 794.
