Five things to do before you purchase a property

Many people dive into looking at properties on the weekend, perhaps even putting in offers, before taking these five simple steps.

  1. Don’t use a mortgage calculator - It’s too important. Speak to a professional broker so you truly understand your situation.

  2. Know your costs - Not just removalists but also boxes, cleaners, a skip bin, mail redirection and internet relocation (to name a few).

  3. Stamp duty - Use the NSW Gov’t calculator, and for this one yes do use an online calculator.

  4. Conveyancer - Get your contact reviewed before you put in an offer, especially if it is an auction.

  5. Estate Planning - Get a solicitor to review your Will and your Estate Plan to ensure that it covers your new property.

If you call Teresa at Novus Law Group she can help you with the other steps anyway. You can click on the button below to arrange free 15 minute phone call with her today.
